Tripura Government, Ramakrishna Mission Sign Historic MoA to Establish Northeast’s First School of Language's and Centre for Human Excellence

In a landmark step towards strengthening skill development, value-based education, and youth empowerment, the Government of Tripura and the Ramakrishna Mission signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on Tuesday for the establishment of the “Ramakrishna Mission School of Language's & Centre for Human Excellence.” The agreement was signed at Conference Hall-2 of the New Secretariat Complex in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
The initiative marks the establishment of the first Ramakrishna Mission School of Languages in Northeast India, along with a dedicated Centre for Human Excellence aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and moral values of the youth.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha described the agreement as a historic milestone in Tripura’s journey towards educational excellence and youth empowerment. He said the collaboration between the state government and the Ramakrishna Mission reflects a shared commitment to nurturing human potential and preparing young people for the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing global environment.
Expressing his happiness at being part of the occasion, the Chief Minister said the initiative is a fitting recognition of the Ramakrishna Mission’s outstanding contribution to education, value-based learning, and human resource development. He noted that the Mission’s dedicated and commendable work in Tripura over the years has positively impacted all sections of society.
Dr. Saha emphasized that the new institution would equip the youth of Tripura with advanced language skills, professional competencies, and strong ethical foundations, thereby enhancing their employability and global competitiveness. He stated that the project would play a transformative role in the state’s educational and human resource development sectors.
“The Ramakrishna Mission’s initiative will enrich our youth with knowledge, skills, and moral values and enable them to effectively respond to the emerging opportunities and challenges of the modern world. This will be regarded as a visionary and path-breaking step in the field of education and human resource development in Tripura,” the Chief Minister said.
The proposed Language School is expected to offer training in various national and international languages, helping students and job seekers access educational, professional, and employment opportunities both within India and abroad. The Centre for Human Excellence will focus on personality development, leadership, life skills, value education, and holistic human development.
The MoA was signed between the Directorate of Skill Development and the Ramakrishna Mission as part of the state government's broader strategy to strengthen skill-based education and create a future-ready workforce.
Among those present at the ceremony were Skill Development Minister Shantana Chakma, Secretary Kiran Kumar Gitte, IAS, Maharaja of the Ramakrishna Mission, and several distinguished guests, officials, and stakeholders.
The initiative is expected to emerge as a major centre for language education, skill enhancement, and character-building, reinforcing Tripura’s position as an emerging hub of educational innovation and human resource development in the Northeast.
