Anti-Hindu barbarism in Bangladesh in the name of false blasphemy charge , three Hindu men forced to resign jobs, one’s home vandalised

The perennially persecuted Hindu minorities in Bangladesh confront a new problem in the form of false blasphemy charges brought by ‘Momins’ to force them to resign from jobs as well as to displace them from their ancestral properties . During the disastrous eighteen month misrule of interim government headed by Md Yunus the Hindus had faced untold atrocities and persecution in the hands of communal Muslim monsters in one form or the other but there has been no let-up in the systematic persecution even after the BNP came to power in elections held on February 12 this year in which the Hindu minorities had overwhelmingly voted for the party , hoping for a respite . But the persecution continues and the latest weapon in the hands of the ‘Momins’ is the medieval and barbaric blasphemy law.

Sources from Bangladesh said that Hindus in Bangladesh are too few, too vulnerable and too scared to utter anything against the religious faiths of majority ‘Momins’ but still they are targeted in a pre-planned manner by false and fake posts made in their name by the Muslim tormentors in social media. In the year 2021 two Hindus including one priest of a temple had been brutally hacked to death by communal monsters among Muslims who had placed copies of the ‘’Quran’ on images of Hindu deities and blamed the Hindu organisers of ‘Durga Puja’ in 2021 before killing them in Chandpur and Noakhali. Both the Muslim criminals were later caught by police on the basis of CCTV footage.

The same dirty tactics is being repeated now by the ‘Momins’ out to dislodge Hindus from their jobs as well as to displace them from their ancestral homes. During the past week several such incidents have taken place , beginning with the forced resignation of a Hindu youth Mithu Mandal (35) , resident of Gopalganj district, who had been forced to resign his job as laboratory assistant in Kotalipara HS school. Facing threat to life hapless Mithu was forced to write in his letter of resignation that he had made derogatory comments against Islam which was totally false and cooked up by the Muslim criminals. He had allegedly commented that ‘even Allah does not know who will become champion in the upcoming FIFA world cup’ but , having resigned his job Mithu said that he had never made any such comment. This happened on May 21.

Earlier Gouranga Sarkar (45), an assistant teacher of Muzibur Rahaman HS school , had been forced to apologise and resign his job after there were manufactured protests against his anti-religious comment. During a class on May 17 Gouranga Sarkar had allegedly said that ‘blaring sound of ‘Azan’ early in the morning creates a problem of noise pollution’ and he was charged with blasphemy and forced to resign his job. He was charged with the cooked up offence in Satkhira police station and now will have to go to jail. Besides, in Mymensingh after the gruesome lynching of Dipu Chandra Das on December 18 last year , it is now the turn of Shaon Chandra Das (23) who is alleged to have posted a mocking picture against Islam in his ‘Facebook’ID. This happened on last Tuesday and in his absence his parental home was totally vandalised.

After coming to know of this, Shaon , a resident of Gouripur area, had fled but was yesterday arrested from Tezgaon area of Dhaka by police . He is now in police custody in Mymensing and it is quite possible that he will be murdered by police in custody. “ There are 56 other Muslim dominated countries in the world and in each of them there is a minority population but in none of them they treated the minorities so bestially as in this God-forsaken Bangladesh where the majority section of population is totally uncultured , ‘Jahil’ and devoid of any sense of even basic humanity ; the Hindus in Bangladesh are now lambs to the slaughter or displacement, if they are lucky” said the source from Bangladesh.
