Man caught drinking in vehicle in broad daylight in front of Fire Brigade office handed over to police

In a bizarre incident a man was caught drinking alcohol with his wife on a vehicle in front of the Fire Brigade headquarter at Agartala early this afternoon. Interestingly the vehicle had a press sticker pasted on it . Sources said that around 11-00 in the morning the Fire Brigade employees saw a vehicle parked in front of their office and proceeded to ask the driver/owner to move away from the place as it was blocking the way of fire tender vehicles that have to come out at high speed an emergency call for help comes . But the Fire Brigade employees saw the driver/owner of the vehicle drinking alcohol with his wife seated beside him.

They told the man to move his parked vehicle away to clear the path but the man who had already gone tipsy flared up and abused the Fire Brigade employees. The Fire Brigade employees also got excited and gave the drunk man a mild dose of bashing and informed the police in west Agartala police station. A police team came and picked up the man and took him to IGM hospital for undergoing medical test to ascertain whether he had actually consumed liquor . Sources said that the man would be arrested after the medical check up on charge of illegal parking and willfully disturbing the functioning of an emergency service for the people.
