The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has strongly questioned the silence of Tripura’s Higher Education Minister Kishore Barman and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid growing allegations of large-scale examination fraud and result mismanagement at Tripura University.

The student organization alleged that thousands of students across different colleges affiliated with Tripura University are facing severe academic uncertainty due to delayed results, incorrect mark sheets, students being marked absent despite appearing in examinations, and alleged wrongful allocation of back papers.

According to the agitating students, the main culprit behind the ongoing unrest is Chinmoy Roy, the incumbent Controller of Examinations of Tripura University. Protesters alleged that repeated administrative failures in examination management have created chaos across colleges in the state and have badly affected the academic careers of students.

Student leaders further alleged that despite the worsening situation and mounting protests, Chinmoy Roy has proceeded on a long family vacation after spoiling everything, triggering further anger among students and guardians.

ABVP leaders stated that instead of fixing the crisis and ensuring accountability, the university administration has failed to address students’ grievances properly. The organization demanded immediate intervention by both the state and central higher education authorities to restore confidence among students and ensure transparent and error-free examination and result systems at the university.

The controversy surrounding Tripura University has intensified in recent days, with protests growing across campuses and increasing pressure mounting on the university administration over alleged negligence and lack of accountability.
