In a major step towards strengthening public outreach and citizen-centric governance in Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday announced that people from all districts of the state will now be able to participate virtually in the popular public grievance redressal programme, ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’.
The Chief Minister said the initiative has been expanded to ensure that citizens living in remote and distant areas can directly place their problems, complaints, and demands before the government without travelling to Agartala.
Addressing the programme, Dr. Saha stated that ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ is one of the government’s significant initiatives aimed at bringing governance and administrative services closer to the common people.
He said the newly introduced virtual platform would make the programme more accessible and convenient for the people of the state. Through this digital arrangement, citizens from different districts will now be able to participate directly from their respective districts and communicate their grievances before the Chief Minister via online interaction.
During today’s session, people from Dhalai district participated virtually and shared various problems and concerns with the Chief Minister. After hearing their grievances, Dr. Saha instructed the concerned officials and departmental authorities to take immediate and necessary steps for resolving the issues raised by the participants.
‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ is a special public interaction and grievance redressal programme launched by the Tripura government under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. The programme has emerged as an important platform through which ordinary citizens can directly approach the Chief Minister regarding various issues related to healthcare assistance, land disputes, financial hardships, social welfare support, and other administrative matters.
Citizens can directly submit complaints and requests before the Chief Minister.
Virtual participation facilities have now been introduced for people residing in distant districts.
Immediate instructions are often issued to district administrations and concerned departments for prompt action.
The programme aims to ensure transparent, people-oriented, and responsive governance.
Usually, the programme is held at the Chief Minister’s official residence or designated government conference venues where people from different parts of the state participate either physically or virtually.
The latest expansion of the programme through digital connectivity is being viewed as another important move by the Tripura government to strengthen grassroots governance and ensure quicker resolution of public grievances across the state.
