Massive Student Protest Erupts at Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya Over Delay in Results and Marksheet Errors

Tension gripped Kailashahar Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya on Monday as a large number of students staged a massive protest against alleged irregularities in examination results and prolonged delays in publication of semesters results. The agitation, organized under the banner of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), witnessed participation from hundreds of students who gathered inside the college premises demanding immediate intervention from the authorities.
According to the protesting students, many examinees who had appeared for their university examinations properly were allegedly marked as “back” or unsuccessful in the published results. They also alleged abnormal delays in online publication of results, discrepancies in mark sheets, and administrative negligence regarding correction of academic records.The protestors claimed that thousands of students are facing uncertainty regarding their academic future due to inefficiency and lack of coordination within the university administration. Students alleged that despite repeated complaints, no concrete solution has yet been provided by the concerned authorities.As part of the agitation, students reportedly gheraoed the office chamber of the college principal, Dr. Ajit Kumar Barman, and staged a sit-in demonstration on the college campus. The protest continued for several hours, disrupting normal academic activities.Speaking during the agitation, ABVP leader Premtosh Paul strongly criticized the university administration, alleging that students’ careers and futures are being jeopardized because of administrative failures. He stated that students are suffering mentally due to uncertainty over examination-related issues.
The student organization warned that if the problems are not resolved permanently within the next week, a larger movement would be launched across the state. Protesters further alleged that the authorities have repeatedly assured action but failed to implement effective corrective measures.The demonstrators demanded immediate rectification of result-related errors, speedy publication of pending results, correction of mark sheet discrepancies, and a transparent examination system to prevent recurrence of such issues.Several organizational leaders and student representatives were present during the protest programme. The agitation drew considerable attention in educational circles, as concerns continue to grow over examination management and academic administration in affiliated institutions.Meanwhile, college authorities reportedly assured students that the grievances would be forwarded to the concerned university officials for necessary action. However, students maintained that they would continue their democratic movement until concrete solutions are implemented.
