Manik Saha Hands Over Appointment Letters to 865 Post Graduate Teachers, Reaffirms Commitment to Transparent Recruitment

Manik Saha on Thursday asserted that the state government is making all-out efforts to expedite ongoing recruitment processes and ensure that deserving candidates receive appointment offers without delay. He said the government is simultaneously filling existing vacant posts and creating new positions across departments to generate more employment opportunities for the youth of Tripura.

Addressing a programme at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala, the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to 865 selected candidates for the post of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs). Describing the event as a significant milestone, Dr. Saha said the government remains committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the state’s unemployed youth through a transparent and merit-based recruitment system.

“I am extremely happy to hand over appointment letters to 865 qualified candidates selected for the post of Post Graduate Teachers. Our government has been working tirelessly to provide jobs through a fair, transparent and merit-oriented recruitment process,” the Chief Minister stated.

He further said that since the formation of the BJP-led government in Tripura in 2018, more than 21,000 unemployed youths have been appointed to regular posts in various government departments across the state.

Highlighting the importance of strengthening the education sector, Dr. Saha urged the newly recruited teachers to work with honesty, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility in providing quality education to students. He emphasized that teachers play a vital role in building a skilled and enlightened future generation and in improving the overall standard of education in the state.

Congratulating all the newly appointed teachers, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes for their bright future and successful professional journey.

According to official government data, around 55,000 posts are currently lying vacant in different departments of the Tripura government. The state government has indicated that recruitment drives for vacant positions will continue in phases in the coming days.
