BJP Jampuijala office vandalised after victory procession, party alleges attack

A BJP mandal office at Jampuijala was vandalised on Sunday following a victory procession taken out by supporters of Tipra Motha in the area, party sources said.

According to BJP supporters, a group from the procession allegedly attacked the office, causing damage to property. Portions of the structure were damaged, while party materials including flags, banners and photographs were torn. Furniture items inside the office were also reportedly ransacked.

No official confirmation of injuries or arrests was available till the time of filing this report.

The incident has added to political tensions in areas under the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). BJP leaders have alleged that their workers and supporters have faced repeated attacks in some sixth schedule areas, while calling for stronger administrative measures to maintain law and order.

There was no immediate response from Tipra Motha leaders on the allegations.
