Panchayat executive officer assaulted inside office in Jirania block

In a shocking incident, a panchayat executive officer posted under the Jirania RD Block was brutally assaulted inside his office chamber during working hours on Tuesday.

The official, identified as Subham Majumder, was present in his office when three individuals reportedly entered the chamber and launched a sudden attack on him. The assailants repeatedly struck the officer, leaving him unable to effectively defend himself.

CCTV footage of the incident, which has surfaced on multiple platforms, shows the attackers entering the chamber and carrying out the assault. A fourth individual, seen standing at the doorway wearing a cap, allegedly recorded the entire episode on his mobile phone.

Police sources confirmed that a case has been registered in connection with the incident. Two of the accused have been arrested so far, while efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining individuals.

Further investigation is in progress, and more details are awaited.

It is learned that the attacker carried out this attack because he had not been receiving the third installment payment for the house for a long time.
