‘Tipra Motha’s depredations continue, Chhabimura guest house for tourists forcibly closed till April 28

Even though more than a week has passed since the results of the ADC election had been declared on April 17, the depredations of the unruly ‘Tipra Motha’ supporters and workers have been continuing unabated in different parts of the state. A large number of leaders and workers including poll candidates of BJP have been attacked and injured and their residences have been gravely damaged by the unruly ‘Tipra Motha’goons and thugs as part of celebration of their victory .

But what the ‘Tipra Motha’supporters have done in Amarpur subdivision today is completely unprecedented . Around 10-00 in the morning today a large gang of ‘Tipra Motha’goons today swooped on the government run Chhabimura guest house for tourists and locked it up, putting up a notice that the guest house will remain closed till April 28. This guest house is used by tourists who visits the picturesque Chhabimimura tourist site on the steep bank of river Gomati . The hill side on the river bank is marked by extraordinarily beautiful sculptural works of Hindu deities and cultural signpost .

The SDM (Amarpur) could not be contacted for response to what happened today in the morning but official sources said that the matter has been taken up with high-ups in the administration for instructions . It is likely to be reopened through police intervention soon, sources added.
