Joint raid in Jaynagar area of Agartala by Crime Branch, Central Intelligence and West Bengal police team

Agartala seems to be emerging as a safe haven for big crime rackets members of which descend to the state from many parts of India and take temporary shelter here. This was proved today by a joint raid conducted on a private house by a combined team of Tripura’s crime branch, central intelligence agency officers and a team of West Bengal police.

Even though those who carried out the massive raid did not disclose any detail till now , sources aware of the raids said that the combined team recovered three mobile SIM boxes and 64 active SIM cards . Those who had brought these items here are thought to be involved in international crime or terrorist racket . However details of arrests and related matters are yet to be made available to media. Sources added that the raid was connected to big international crime rackets and terrorism and the central intelligence had got wind of this earlier from West Bengal and this is the reason why officers of West Bengal police were included in the team when the raid was conducted.
