Chief Minister Visits Post-Poll Violence-Affected Areas in South and Sepahijala Districts, Assures Support and Security

In a significant move to assess the ground situation following post-election unrest, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha visited several violence-affected areas in South Tripura district on Wednesday.

During his visit, the Chief Minister interacted directly with local residents who were impacted by the post-poll violence. He listened to their concerns and reviewed the extent of damage and hardship faced by families in the affected regions.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Saha reiterated the government’s commitment to standing firmly beside the victims. He stated that maintaining peace and order remains a top priority and assured that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure the safety and security of citizens.

“The government is always with the affected people. We will take every required step to restore normalcy and ensure that peace and law and order are maintained,” he said.

The visit also saw heightened administrative activity, with officials actively coordinating efforts to restore normal conditions in the region. The Chief Minister emphasized that restoring stability and public confidence is crucial at this stage.

Earlier in the day, Dr. Saha visited Sepahijala district, where he met families affected by similar incidents of post-election violence. He personally visited the residences of victims including Shri Anil Kumar Debbarma, Shri Suresh Debbarma, Shri Khaken Debbarma, and Shri Jawaharlal Debbarma.

During these visits, he assured the affected families of full government support during this difficult time. He emphasized that the state government remains committed to ensuring peace, security, and justice for all those impacted.

The Chief Minister’s visits underline the administration’s proactive approach in addressing post-election tensions and reaffirm its commitment to safeguarding the well-being of all citizens.
