700 Specially Abled Youths to Perform Cultural Programme in Kadamtala Block on April 28, Massive Preparations Underway for Historic Event

In a landmark initiative aimed at promoting inclusion and empowerment, around 700 specially abled boys and girls will participate in a grand cultural programme featuring dance and music on April 28 at Kadamtala Block.The event is being seen as a historic occasion, with extensive preparations already underway by the block administration. All identified specially abled participants from the area will come together on a single platform, making it one of the largest such gatherings in the state.According to BDO Utpal Das, this initiative follows a similar programme held earlier in Amarpur and is set to become the second-largest event of its kind in Tripura.The programme will also showcase vibrant cultural performances by tea garden workers, including the traditional Jhumur Binodini dance and stick (kathi) dance, adding colour and cultural richness to the occasion.The District Magistrate, Chandni Chandran, IAS, is expected to be present at the event, reflecting the administration’s strong commitment to the welfare and inclusion of specially abled persons.

With such a large number of participants and diverse cultural performances, the upcoming programme is expected to set a new benchmark in inclusive community initiatives in the state.The event will also feature a mega camp to deliver a wide range of government services to the participants. This will include the delivery of various certificates, issuance and renewal of disability certificates, screening for assistive devices, provision of disability pensions, and insurance coverage for all.The primary aim is to ensure saturation of all services that the beneficiaries are entitled to and aspire for.Additionally, a comprehensive mega medical check-up will be conducted by specialist doctors, including orthopaedic, ophthalmology, mental health, and general health check-ups.
