Following the victory in the ADC elections, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, Supremo of Tipra Motha Party, addressed the media for the first time on Saturday, making strong remarks on the current political situation in Tripura.
Speaking to reporters, Pradyot alleged that certain BJP leaders with roots in the CPM are misleading Chief Minister Manik Saha and pushing him against TIPRA Motha. He advised the Chief Minister to reconsider his current style of politics, stating that such an approach is no longer relevant in today’s time.
At the same time, Pradyot acknowledged that several capable and respected leaders within the BJP maintain a good relationship with him, indicating that political differences do not extend to all leaders in the party.
Responding to questions regarding the absence of Minister Animesh Debbarma from campaign activities in support of TIPRA Motha candidates during the ADC elections, Pradyot described it as an internal party matter. He stated that he would discuss the issue directly with Animesh Debbarma.
Meanwhile, a delegation of TIPRA Motha Party, led by Pradyot Debbarma, met the Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu, at Lok Bhavan in Agartala.
As the term of the present ADC council came to an end, Purna Chandra Jamatia formally submitted his resignation letter to the Governor during the meeting.
The delegation also included Minister Brishaketu Debbarma, along with party leaders Runiel Debbarma and C K Jamatia. The meeting holds significance as the political landscape in the ADC undergoes transition following the latest election results.
