In a remarkable display of organization and festive outreach, Ramprasad Paul, MLA of Surjyamaninagar Assembly Constituency and Deputy Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, set a new benchmark on the auspicious occasion of Poila Boishakh.
Early this morning, within just two hours, sweet packets and New Year greeting cards were delivered to nearly 20,000 households, reaching approximately 54,000 voters across the constituency. The large-scale distribution drive marked one of the fastest and most extensive festive outreach efforts in the state.
Sharing details on social media, Ramprasad Paul highlighted that the initiative was inspired by Narendra Modi’s “Vocal for Local” campaign. In line with this vision, sweets were sourced from around 25 local shops, providing a boost to small businesses in the area.
The operation began the previous night, with nearly 2,000 BJP workers and supporters actively participating in preparing the sweet packets. Their coordinated efforts ensured that the entire distribution process was completed smoothly and efficiently on the morning of Poila Boishakh.
The initiative not only spread festive cheer but also demonstrated strong grassroots mobilization, community engagement, and support for local enterprises, setting a notable example of large-scale public outreach during the Bengali New Year celebrations.
