Reports favourable, says Tripura CM after post-poll review

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday said feedback from party functionaries indicates a favourable outcome for his party in the TTAADC polls, after chairing a post-poll review meeting.

Saha said constituency-wise inputs were collected from candidates, cluster leaders and polling agents as part of the party’s routine post-election assessment.

“The reports are projections based on feedback from polling agents. We have to wait for the final results,” he said.

The meeting also reviewed preparations for counting scheduled on April 17, including possible training for counting agents.

On demands for re-polling in some booths, he said the decision rests with the State Election Commission.

Referring to reported violence, the Chief Minister said election conduct remains under the purview of the poll panel during the process.

He also appealed for peace after the results, urging party workers to avoid any provocation or post-poll violence.
