The General Election to TTAADC 2026 commenced with a steady and encouraging voter turnout, as per the official data released by the State Election Commission. The first two-hourly report, covering the period from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, indicates that a significant number of voters turned up early to exercise their democratic rights.

According to the Commission’s figures, 2,04,679 votes were cast out of a total electorate of 9,51,613, resulting in an overall turnout of approximately 21–22 percent in the initial phase of polling. The data further reveals that female voters slightly outnumbered male voters, with 1,04,621 women participating compared to 1,00,058 men, reflecting a positive trend in gender participation. Participation from the third gender category remained minimal.

The constituency-wise figures released by the State Election Commission show that several areas recorded strong early turnout. Constituencies such as Katalia–Mirja–Rajapur, Machmara, and parts of the Chawmanu and Teliamura belt witnessed relatively higher participation, with turnout figures touching around 23 to 25 percent in the first two hours. In contrast, constituencies like Dasda–Kanchanpur and certain areas under North Tripura recorded slightly lower turnout, hovering around 20 percent.

Across North Tripura and Unakoti districts, the polling trend remained largely uniform, with most constituencies reporting turnout within the 20 to 23 percent range. Importantly, no major law-and-order issues or disruptions were reported during the early hours, indicating smooth conduct of polling under the supervision of election authorities.
