39th convocation of IGNOU held in Rabindra Shata Varshiki Bhawan

The 39th convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)’s Tripura unit was held in the Hall No-1 of Rabindra Shata Varshiki Bhawan. Altogether 30 students who had top-scored in various subjects in the final exams of the university were given away gold medals by the governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu who was the chief guest in the convocation programme. Many other VVIPs were also present on the occasion and they encouraged the students to go for research and innovative work on the basis of the knowledge they have acquired in the course of their studies in the IGNOU.
The governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu in his address recalled the launching of IGNOU as a path –breaking event and offered his kudos to the university authority as well as students for making the programmes of the university a grand success. He also advised the students to go for research and further develop the knowledge they have gathered. “Nothing is more sacred than knowledge in this world and when you fully comprehend the knowledge you have acquired you can access the path of peace and salvation ; hence please do not stop here and continued your quest for knowledge and innovation so that you can contribute to the growth and development of this nation” said governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu.
