Building a Future-Ready Administration: DIT Tripura Observes Sadhana Saptah 2026 under Mission Karmayogi

The Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, is actively observing Sadhana Saptah 2026 from April 2 to April 8, 2026, under the Government of India's flagship Mission Karmayogi initiative. The observance was formally inaugurated today at the Smart Training Centre, Agartala by Shri Jitendra Kumar Sinha, Chief Secretary, Government of Tripura, in the presence of officers and staffs of DIT.
Shri Jitendra Kumar Sinha, Chief Secretary, Government of Tripura in his inaugural addressed emphasized the critical importance of continuous capacity building in governance, highlighting that civil servants must continuously upgrade their skills to keep pace with evolving technologies and administrative demands. He underscored the need for responsible adoption of digital tools, including emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, while ensuring data security, transparency, and accountability in government functioning. He also stressed that initiatives like Mission Karmayogi are instrumental in building a responsive, efficient, and future-ready administration.
Smt. Kuntal Das, IAS, Special Secretary, OBC Welfare Dept., GoT also attended and emphasised the importance of observance of Sadhana Saptah 2026, under the Government of
India's flagship Mission Karmayogi. She also highlighted DIT's active participation in this initiative.
Shri Jeya Ragul Geshan B, IFS, Director, IT, Government of Tripura, stated that Sadhana Saptah (2-8 April 2026) under Mission Karmayogi promotes continuous learning and capacity building for a future-ready administration. He highlighted the role of the iGOT platform in enabling anytime learning and noted that the Directorate of IT has organized focused webinars and workshops during the week. He added that with 100% onboarding on iGOT, the Directorate remains committed to enhancing efficiency and service delivery.
This nationwide programme is part of the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB), aimed at fostering a culture of continuous learning and enhancing the competencies of government officials.
The initiative is aligned with the iGOT Karmayogi digital learning platform, which enables structured, role-based capacity building for civil servants across the country. The observance emphasizes the importance of continuous professional development, improved efficiency in governance, and adoption of modern digital practices.
As part of the week-long programme, DIT has undertaken a series of structured learning activities and knowledge-sharing sessions tailored to current administrative and technological needs. All officers and staff have been encouraged to undertake a minimum of four hours of learning during the week through both guided sessions and self-paced modules.
Key programmes being organized include:
• Webinar on Effective and Secure Use of AI Tools for Drafting Official Communications
This session focuses on responsible and secure use of AI tools in government communication, with emphasis on data confidentiality and ethical practices. The webinar is being conducted by the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
• Online Workshop on Bid Process Management, DPR Management, and Project Management
The workshop covers end-to-end bid processing, preparation and evaluation of Detailed
Project Reports, and best practices in project planning and execution. The session is being facilitated by the National Institute for Smart Government (NISG).
• Seminar on Reimagining Bill Processing and Payment Workflows in Government Systems
This seminar addresses financial procedures, compliance, and payment workflows in government departments, and is planned with the domain experts.
Through these initiatives, the Directorate aims to strengthen the functional, technical, and managerial capabilities of its officials, while also enhancing digital governance and administrative efficiency.
The observance of Sadhana Saptah 2026 is expected to significantly improve the quality of official work, promote secure and effective use of emerging technologies, and contribute towards building a more responsive, efficient, and future-ready administration in the State.
