Pradyot Kishore Debbarman on Saturday urged voters to make informed decisions, stating that electoral choices made today would determine the future of coming generations.
Addressing a rally in Dasda-Kanchanpur, the Tipra Motha founder said voters should prioritise long-term community interests over short-term considerations. He emphasised that creating opportunities for youth and ensuring access to basic infrastructure remain key priorities.
Highlighting issues in northern Tripura, he pointed to the lack of safe drinking water, poor road connectivity and inadequate educational facilities. He said a Tipra Motha Party-led council would work to improve water supply systems, upgrade schools in tribal areas and strengthen road networks to enhance connectivity and healthcare access.
Debbarman said efforts would be made to channel development funds into Kanchanpur subdivision to address gaps in essential services and expedite pending projects. He noted that the region requires focused intervention due to lagging development indicators.
Calling for unity among indigenous communities, he said collective support would be crucial for achieving political and developmental goals. Referring to the upcoming polls, he urged voters to assess leadership choices, in an apparent comparison with Chief Minister Manik Saha.
He reiterated that the Tipra Motha Party would contest the TTAADC elections independently, maintaining its regional agenda without alliances.
