The Tripura Juktibad Bikash Mancha organized a protest rally in the state capital today with the objective of mobilizing public opinion against ongoing global conflicts and war-driven politics.

Addressing the gathering, speakers strongly criticized the recent escalation of tensions following military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran. They warned that the consequences of such conflicts are no longer confined to the Gulf region but are increasingly threatening global stability.

The speakers highlighted that the ongoing war is fundamentally driven by control over energy resources and transportation routes, describing it as a battle for dominance rather than a conflict serving the interests of ordinary people. According to them, nearly 99 percent of the global population has no stake in such wars, yet it is the common people who bear the brunt of casualties, economic burden, and social disruption.

They further pointed out that countries like India are also being affected by the ripple effects of these geopolitical tensions, particularly through rising economic pressures.

The forum noted that millions of people across the world, including in the United States and other nations, have already taken to the streets to protest against their governments’ war policies. Inspired by these global movements, the organization emphasized the need to strengthen anti-war voices at the grassroots level.

The Tripura Juktibad Bikash Mancha called upon the people of Tripura to unite and raise their voices against what they termed as a war of domination, urging citizens to actively participate in building a strong anti-war public movement in the state.
