Tripura Shines Bright as Three Panchayats Win National Satat Vikas Puraskar 2025, CM Congratulates DM Teams

In a proud moment for Tripura, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today announced that three Panchayats from the state have secured top honors at the prestigious Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (DDUPSVP) and Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (NDPSVP) 2025, conferred by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.

As per the official communication issued by Dr. Bijaya Kumar Behera on March 30, 2026, and addressed to Abhishek Singh, Sepahijala District Panchayat has secured the first rank in the Best District Panchayat category under NDPSVP, marking a significant achievement in district-level governance and development. Kanchanbari Gram Panchayat under Kumarghat block in Unakoti district has secured the first rank in the Healthy Panchayat category under DDUPSVP, reflecting excellence in health, sanitation, and community welfare initiatives. Baikunthapur Gram Panchayat under Hezamara block in West Tripura district has secured the third rank in the Women-Friendly Panchayat category under DDUPSVP, with the award being jointly shared with another Panchayat.

The award-winning Panchayats will receive financial incentives of Rs.5 crore for Sepahijala District Panchayat, Rs.1 crore for Kanchanbari Gram Panchayat, and Rs.50 lakh for Baikunthapur Gram Panchayat.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha congratulated the District Magistrates and their respective administrative teams for this remarkable achievement, appreciating their leadership, coordination, and commitment in implementing government schemes effectively at the grassroots level. He also extended his congratulations to Panchayat representatives and local stakeholders, stating that the recognition reflects the collective efforts of all involved in strengthening rural governance and ensuring inclusive development.

The Ministry has requested the state government to widely publicize the achievements and success stories of the award-winning Panchayats. This national recognition once again reinforces Tripura’s strong position as a leading state in Panchayati Raj governance and sustainable rural development.
