On the last day of filing nomination today senior BJP leaders and ministers led processions of party candidates and workers to file papers of candidates for different ADC constituencies across the state. There was great enthusiasm among party workers and supporters on the occasion of nomination filing .

The BJP state president Rajeev Bhattacharjee and minister for tourism and food Sushanta Chowdhury led a huge procession of party workers and supporters for filing nomination of candidates for Jirania (No-15) and Mandai-Pulinpur (16) ADC constituencies . The BJP candidates for the two constituencies are Abhijit Debbarma for Jirania and Rajesh Debbarma for Mandai-Pulinpur seats. Both of them filed their papers with the SDM (Jirania) office amid great enthusiasm. Both Rajeev Bhattacharjee and Sushanta Chowdhury exuded confidence that the BJP candidates will win both the seats in the upcoming election.

Apart from this, a huge procession of BJP workers and supporters followed the minister for social welfare Tinku Roy and ‘Mandal’ president Rajiv Chakma for filing nomination of two cadidates , Manju Rani Sarkar for Machhmara ADC seat and Bimal Chakma for the Karamcherra ADC seat . There was a huge turn-out of BJP workers and supporters in Kumarghat as the procession meandered through the roads before converging on the SDM office where the nominations for the Machhmara and Karamcherra ADC seats were submitted.

Before formal filing of papers by the candidates , minister Tinku Roy and ‘Mandal’ president Rajiv Chakma addressed the gathering and asserted that BJP will not only win both the Machhmara and Karamcherra ADC seats but will also secure a majority in the Council. They said that the ADC will now see real development under the BJP dispensation . They also condemned the policies and pronouncements of the ‘Tipra Motha’ and CPI (M) who, they asserted, had destroyed the ADC at the cost of its people.
