With political momentum building ahead of the crucial Dharmanagar by-election, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha intensified the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign efforts by visiting Dharmanagar on Sunday via rail. His visit signals a strong push by the BJP to consolidate its organizational strength and reconnect with voters at the grassroots level.

A wave of enthusiasm swept through the Dharmanagar railway station as party workers and supporters gathered in large numbers to welcome the Chief Minister with slogans. The energetic reception reflected the growing importance of the upcoming by-election for the ruling party.

Soon after his arrival, the Chief Minister proceeded to the BJP district office, Atal Bhavan in Padmapur, where a key organizational meeting was convened. The meeting saw the presence of several senior party leaders including state secretary Ratan Ghosh, vice-president Tapas Bhattacharjee, OBC Morcha state president Malina Debnath, district president Kajal Das, minister Sudhangshu Das, MLA Jadab Lal Debnath, Binay Bhushan Das, and BJP’s by-election candidate Jahar Chakraborty.

The meeting focused on strengthening booth-level organization, refining campaign strategies, and enhancing voter outreach. Party insiders revealed that special emphasis was laid on activating grassroots workers and ensuring direct engagement with every voter.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Saha expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, stating that Dharmanagar was previously held by the BJP and would be reclaimed with a decisive mandate. He urged party workers to take personal responsibility in reaching out to households and communicating the achievements and development initiatives of the government.

“We must connect with every voter and present the work done by our government. With strong organization and dedication, victory is certain,” the Chief Minister emphasized.

He specifically instructed party cadres to undertake extensive door-to-door campaigns, ensuring that the message of development reaches every corner of the constituency.

Political observers believe that this high-level visit and strategic organizational meeting have significantly boosted BJP’s preparedness for the Dharmanagar by-election. With intensified campaigning and growing political activity, the electoral contest in the constituency is expected to become increasingly competitive in the coming days.
