A case of gross irregularity and dereliction of duty by teachers and invigilators in TBSE exam centres in the PM Shri Sabroom Girls Higher Secondary school have put a question mark over the prospect of an innocent tribal girl candidate . According to details available from Sabroom the teacher-invigilators including the exam supervisor Pranab Das and a graduate teacher Sutapa Paul and her colleagues’ gross negligence of duty and lack of care have created an impossible situation for the Madhyamik candidates .
Yesterday Riya Mog (16), a Madhyamik candidate from Daulbari Girls High School, had come to take her exam in the PM Shri Sabroom Girls HS school. She had appeared at exams on four subjects quite well but a major trouble happened yesterday when the exam on mathematics was on as Riya was mistakenly given the ‘Basic’ question in stead of the ‘Standard’ question . It was only fifteen minutes before the scheduled exam time that the invigilator ,graduate teacher Sutapa Paul realised her mistaken and snatched away the answer script as well as the question set from hapless Riya Mog. This has now created a dangerous situation for innocent student Riya Mog as she could not complete her answers firstly and then the question arose as to whether her answers would actually evaluated by the TBSE’s examiners. Riya went home crying but there was none to assure her that there would be no trouble facing her.
Sources said that a section of teachers in the PM Shri Sabroom Girls HS school have not only been neglecting duty grossly but have been helping the candidates , actually their private students, in total violation of rules and regulations. What is worse, the teacher in charge of the school is now trying to hush up the entire matter in stead of trying to protect the future prospect of the innocent girl students who stands in danger of getting plucked in the exam on mathematics.
