In a politically charged election rally at Bishramganj Motor Stand, senior Left Front leaders launched a strong attack on the BJP–Tipra Motha alliance, accusing them of spreading fear and misgovernance in the ADC (Autonomous District Council) areas of Tripura. The rally was organized in support of Left Front candidates Braja Kumar Debbarma (17 Pekuarkhola–Jirania), Benilal Debbarma (18 Takarjala–Jampuijala), and Brinda Debbarma (19 Amtali–Golaghati). Prior to the gathering, a massive procession marched through Bishramganj Bazar, drawing participation from large numbers of supporters despite the scorching heat. Addressing the rally, a senior CPI(M) state secretariat member and former ADC Chief alleged that the Tipra Motha-led administration had sold off assets in the name of transforming the ADC into a Switzerland like region. He claimed that instead of development, divisive politics and fear psychosis were being instilled among the people. CPI(M) Central Committee member and former minister Naresh Jamatia also criticized the BJP–Tipra Motha alliance, stating that the ADC had been rendered dysfunctional under their rule. He urged voters to elect Left Front candidates to restore life and governance in the council areas. Other speakers, including state secretariat member and district secretary Ratan Saha, echoed similar sentiments. The rally was presided over by veteran CPI(M) leader Bhanulal Saha. Leaders also highlighted the recent damage caused by a nor’wester storm (Kalbaishakhi), which reportedly destroyed roofs and boundary fences of several houses. They alleged government apathy in providing timely relief and repair support to affected families. The speakers further accused the ruling alliance of fostering division and hostility among communities over the past five years, claiming that fear, hatred, and inhumanity had replaced development in ADC areas. People from various areas, including remote locations like Baramura and Killa, reportedly started early in the morning to join the rally. By around 11 AM, a large crowd had gathered at the Bishramganj Motor Stand, marking a significant show of strength for the Left Front in the three constituencies. The rally concluded with a call to voters to unite against what leaders described as anti-people forces and support the Left Front in the upcoming ADC elections.
