Papiya Datta comes live on video after Trinamool’s goons attack BJP supporters in Girish Mart near Brigade parade ground

Unnerved by the huge and spontaneous rush of people to Calcutta’s Brigade Parade ground today on the occasion of prime minister Narendra Modi’s mega rally the goons and thugs affiliated with the ruling Trinamool resorted to attacks on people in various places. This came live on social media as Tripura BJP’s vice president and senior woman leader took to her social media handle live to report a bout of attack on rally-bound people including BJP workers and supporters from Tripura in different parts of the state.

In her live video Papiya said that in Girish Mart area on the way to the Brigade Parade ground a large number of rally-bound BJP supporters including many from Tripura came under organized attack with clubs and rods and stone pelting by the thugs and goons of Trinamool. An unspecified number of BJP supporters sustained varying degrees of injuries in the attack. Condemning the attack Papiya said that the prime minister’s meeting was being held with prior approval obtained from the state administration but the state police, busy in doing ‘chaplushi’ of the Trinamool, did nothing to prevent the attack or stop it . “They just looked away or left the place , even when approached by people for help” said Papiya .

She added that the state of West Bengal has gone to the dogs under the misrule of Trinamool over the past fifteen years and no Hindu citizen of India living in West Bengal is safe because the police there have become the boot-licking cadres of Trinamool . “But their days in power are numbered and the people of West Bengal will this time throw them out of power” said Papiya in her live video post.
