A serious allegation of an extramarital relationship has surfaced against the Kailashahar president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Arup Dhar. The husband of the woman involved, Shivam Basfor, a resident of Harijan Colony in Kailashahar, has publicly accused the BJP youth leader of maintaining an illicit relationship with his wife, Priya Pal.

Addressing a press conference, Shivam Basfor alleged that for the last one year Arup Dhar has been involved in an extramarital relationship with his wife. According to Shivam, the BJYM leader allegedly used his political influence and party power to take Priya Pal away from their home and arrange a rented house where they have been living together.

Shivam Basfor claimed that he had already informed several BJP leaders about the matter, including Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee, along with other party leaders in Kailashahar. However, he alleged that no effective action has been taken against the accused youth leader.

The aggrieved husband further alleged that a few days ago he caught Arup Dhar with his wife in a compromising situation near his residence one evening. When he confronted them, Shivam claimed that the BJYM leader and his associates instead assaulted him.

Shivam said he reported the incident to the police, but according to him, the police did not take any effective legal action.

During the press conference, Shivam Basfor presented several pieces of evidence before journalists, including photographs and call recordings, which he claims prove the alleged relationship between his wife and the BJYM leader.

Claiming that he has not received justice from any authority so far, Shivam appealed to the conscientious people of Kailashahar to come forward and help him secure justice.

He also expressed fear for his life, alleging that Arup Dhar might attempt to harm or kill him. In a video message released yesterday, Shivam Basfor appealed directly to the Chief Minister for protection and pleaded for his life.

The allegations have created considerable discussion in Kailashahar, though no official response has yet been issued by the accused leader or the party leadership regarding the claims made by Shivam Basfor.
