Ahead of the upcoming elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today participated in a major roadshow at Khumulwng, drawing enthusiastic participation from party supporters and local residents.

The roadshow, organized under the theme “Empowering Janajati, Empowering Tripura,” witnessed large gatherings of people who lined the streets and joined the procession, creating an atmosphere of excitement and political mobilization in the TTAADC headquarters town.

After attending the programme, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha shared his reaction on social media, expressing happiness over the overwhelming response from the people. He wrote that he was delighted to see the happy and enthusiastic faces in Khumulwng during today’s roadshow.

The Chief Minister also stated that the massive turnout and participation of supporters reflect the growing public aspiration for a stronger and empowered Tripura. According to him, the enthusiasm among the people, particularly the tribal communities, demonstrates their support for development-oriented initiatives and inclusive governance.

The roadshow was attended by Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and BJP’s young tribal leader Bipin Debbarma, who joined the Chief Minister during the procession. Apart from them, several senior tribal leaders and party functionaries were also present, adding strength to the political outreach programme.

The event turned into a vibrant display of support as party workers, tribal leaders, and residents participated actively, waving flags and greeting the leaders during the procession. Political observers believe the roadshow is part of the BJP’s effort to consolidate support in the tribal areas ahead of the crucial TTAADC elections, where tribal issues, empowerment, and development remain key campaign themes.

Khumulwng, being the administrative headquarters of the TTAADC, has emerged as a significant political centre in the run-up to the council elections. The large participation in today’s roadshow is being seen as a strong indication of the party’s outreach efforts among the indigenous communities.

Leaders present at the event reiterated their commitment to ensuring the empowerment of the Janajati communities and accelerating development in the tribal areas of Tripura, stressing that strengthening tribal welfare would play a vital role in building a more prosperous and united state.
