After a brief programme in which the SP Sudhamnika R. addressed the gathered police runners , explaining the importance of the occasion the long distance run projected as a ‘Marathon’ was flagged off by the SP from the Kailasahar Kalakshetra . It meandered through main streets of the town and returned to the Kalakshetra via the police station. The entire programme was attended by SP Sudhambika R. additional SP Rupam Chakma, inspector Jatindra Das and other officers.
After the run had completed its full course the SP (Unakoti) Sudhambika R. told media persons that the programme had been organised to create awareness among people about the need for turning Tripura into an addiction-free state and also about the provisions of the newly introduced BNS-2023.All the policemen posted in the police stations of the Unakoti district took part in the long-distance run.
