Last year, 21,575 candidates had appeared in the Higher Secondary exams, making this year’s increase significant.
Regarding candidates appearing for Kokborok language papers, the TBSE President assured that existing arrangements will continue. Question papers will be printed in Bengali script, allowing students to answer in the language format they are most comfortable with.
On the issue of increasing evaluation allowances for examiners, Dr. Choudhury clarified that any decision in this regard will be taken by the TBSE governing body once it is formally constituted, as the authority to approve such matters rests solely with the board.
With preparations in place, TBSE expressed confidence that the examinations will be conducted smoothly across all centres in the state.
