Tripura to Witness Historic Sporting Moment as 1st Tripura State Games 2026 Kicks Off on February 22

Tripura is set to script a new chapter in its sporting history with the inauguration of the 1st Tripura State Games 2026, scheduled to be held on February 22, 2026, at the prestigious Dasarath Deb State Sports Complex, Badharghat, Agartala. The grand inaugural ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM.

Organised by the Tripura Olympic Association, the State Games mark a significant milestone in the promotion of sports and athletic excellence across Tripura.

The event will be formally inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Chief Minister of Tripura. His presence underscores the state government’s commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure and nurturing young talent.

The ceremony will be attended by a distinguished gathering of ministers, senior officials, sports administrators, and security chiefs.

Shri Tinku Roy, Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of Tripura, will attend as the Chief Guest.
