TIPRA Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma Levels Serious Allegations in Interview, Editor Pranab Sarkar Files FIR at West Agartala Police Station

TIPRA Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma has made serious allegations during an interview, claiming that certain individuals were misusing their identity as journalists for blackmail and financial gain. In the same interview, he also raised allegations involving criminal activities related to women, though he did not directly mention the name of editor Pranab Sarkar.

According to Pranab Sarkar, however, the statements made during the interview were indirectly aimed at him. He alleged that the remarks and references made by Ranjit Debbarma in the conversation pointed towards him and contained serious accusations that could damage his reputation.

The interview was reportedly aired on the social media platform “The Social Bangla.” After watching the video in the evening, Pranab Sarkar later approached West Agartala Police Station and filed an FIR during the night, seeking legal action over the statements made in the interview.

Sources said the complaint includes allegations of defamation and intimidation, stating that the remarks were made in a manner that indirectly targeted him without explicitly naming him. The matter has now come under police scrutiny, and authorities are expected to examine the contents of the video as part of the investigation process.

The incident has triggered discussion within media and political circles in Tripura, as both sides present differing interpretations of the remarks made in the interview. Further developments are awaited as the police proceed with necessary inquiries.
