Tripura government to recruit more than 500 personnel in different departments , Ayurvedic and Homeopathy medical colleges and hospitals to be established

The state government will recruit more than five hundred personnel including technicians in different departments and a decision has been taken to launch an Ayurvedic and Homeopathy hospitals as decided by a cabinet meeting yesterday under the stewardship of chief minister Dr Manik Saha. Announcing the slew of decisions finalised by the cabinet , the minister for Food and Civil Supply and Tourism Sushanta Chowdhury said that the cabinet has cleared the setting up of a 60-seat Ayurvedic college in Tepania area of Udaipur and a separate Ayurvedic hospital will be also be launched from the financial year 2026-2027. “The Ayurvedic college will start functioning in Chandrapur area of Udaipur initially under the Matabari constitueny but then it will be shifted to Tepania area where the Gomati district hospital is also located” said Sushanta. Apart from this , a separate 6-seat Homeopathy college will also be launched from the next financial year-that is, 2026-2027-in the Renters Colony area in southeastern Agartala where already a Homeopathy hospital exists . The students will study and learn how to practise Homeopathy medicine with the nearby hospital as the base. The college will be named after Netaji Subhas Chandra college of Homeopathy medicine.
Regarding the decisions taken on recruitment, Sushanta said that the department of Animal Resource Development (ARDD) will recruit altogether 110 veterinary officers through competitive exams to be conducted by the TPSC. For the department of health and family welfare 100 multipurpose workers (50 males and 50 females) will be recruited and for a clean recruitment process a Board will be constituted to conduct the competitive exam. Altogether 8 multi-tasking staff will be recruited for the prosecution wing under the home department and the entire process will be conducted through competitive exam by the JRBT. In addition to this the power department will recruit 7 lower division clerks for its renewable energy wing through competitive exam for the sake of transparency. But the most important recruitment will be those of 330 new posts of technical officers for the information technology department including 120 Grade-IV posts through the TPSC, The applicants having degrees such as B-Tech in computer science, information technology or electronics and holders of MCA degrees will be eligible for appearing at the written test and interview to be conducted by the TPSC.
Apart from all these , the state cabinet has hiked the house rent allowance of TSR jawans posted in Delhi from the present 24% of the basic pay to 27% of the basic pay in view of rising housing cost in the national capital. As per the second important decision in this regard the boarding allowance of tribal students living in various tribal boarding houses run by the government has been increased from present Rs 80.00 per head per day to Rs 100.00 per day . All the 37,773 tribal students currently pursuing studies in boarding houses now will benefit from the hike in daily boarding allowance. The entire package of benefits have been cleared by the finance department , said the minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
