Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on February 11 and Amit Shah Likely to Visit Tripura on February 20 Ahead of ADC Elections

Preparations are intensifying in Tripura’s political circles as Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to arrive in the state on February 20 in connection with the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections.

Sources within the state BJP have indicated that the proposed visit carries significant political importance ahead of the council polls. Senior leaders of the party have confirmed that Amit Shah is expected to be in Tripura for a one-day visit, although the official itinerary has not yet been finalized.

During his visit, Shah is expected to take part in a series of party meetings and developmental programmes. He is also likely to hold a crucial meeting with state BJP leaders to review organizational preparedness and election strategy for the upcoming ADC polls.

Political observers believe that the Home Minister’s visit will boost the morale of party workers, particularly in tribal regions where the TTAADC elections hold major significance. Discussions are expected to focus on strengthening the party’s presence and finalizing campaign initiatives undertaken by the central and state leadership.

Meanwhile, in another major development, Union Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan is scheduled to visit Agartala on February 11. He will attend a Rural Development (RD) event organized in the state capital.

The Union Minister will inaugurate various rural development projects and interact with beneficiaries at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, Agartala. The programme, set to begin at 11:30 AM, will also mark the enactment of the “VB-G Ram G Act 2025.”

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will be present as the Chief Guest at the event along with other ministers.
