Notification Issued for 2026 ADC Elections: Final list of Polling Stations will be Officially Published on February 21

The Office of the Election Commissioner for District Council, Tripura has officially issued a notification outlining the schedule for finalization of polling stations in connection with the upcoming General Election to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), 2026.

The notification has been released under Rule 23 of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Election and Conduct of Business) Rules, 1985. It provides a clear timeline for publication, review, and finalization of the list of polling stations across the ADC areas.

According to the notification, the key dates are as follows:

The draft publication of the list of polling stations will take place on February 13, 2026. Citizens, political parties, and other stakeholders will then have the opportunity to submit claims, objections, or suggestions regarding the draft list until February 17, 2026.

All received claims and objections will be examined and disposed of by February 19, 2026, following which the final list of polling stations will be officially published on February 21, 2026.

The notification has been signed by Anurag Sen, Secretary to the Election Commissioner for District Council, Tripura.

Instructions have been sent to all Returning Officers and Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) across districts including Kanchanpur, Kumarghat, Longtharai Valley, Gandacherra, Ambassa, Khowai, Teliamura, Mohanpur, Jirania, Jampuijala, Bishalgarh, Udaipur, Amarpur, Karbook, Santirbazar, and Sabroom to take necessary action as per the schedule.

Copies of the notification have also been forwarded to the Governor of Tripura, Chief Electoral Officer, Tribal Welfare Department, District Election Officers, and other concerned authorities for information and compliance.

This notification marks an important preparatory step toward conducting the ADC elections in a transparent and organized manner, ensuring that polling infrastructure is finalized well ahead of the election process.

The 2026 TTAADC election is expected to be a major political event in the state, and the release of this schedule signals the beginning of formal administrative procedures for its smooth conduct.
