State govt calls for application from 18 year old marriageable girls families for giving financial assistance

The ‘Chief Minister Girls Marriage Aid Scheme’ is being Implemented for the benefit of identified poorest of poor families belonging to the ‘Antyodaya’ category. This scheme is being implemented by the social welfare department of the state government as part of social security schemes of the state government.
In order that the implementation of the scheme at ground level is accelerated the minister for sports and social welfare Tinku Roy has made an appeal to the ‘Antyoday’ category families to come forward to receive the financial assistance of Rs 50 thousand under the scheme in case they have marriageable girls above the age of 18. The minister also clarified that the applicants for the assistance are required to submit ‘Aadhar card’, school certificate and bank account number evident from the Xerox copy of the pass-book to the Panchayat, CDPO or DM office with the application for assistance to the maximum limit of Rs 50 thousand . The applications will be verified through the Panchayat chief and Panchayat secretary and then eligible candidates or applicants will be given the assistance of Rs 50 thousand by cash transfer to the girl’s bank account.
The minister Tinku Roy said that this is ‘poverty alleviation’ scheme that will help poor families belonging to the ‘Antyoday’ category to have their eligible girls married in time. He added that the social welfare department is implementing a slew of other schemes for benefit and general welfare of the people and this will continue.
