In the run-up to the upcoming ADC elections, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha has intensified his development outreach across the state, particularly in ADC areas, by inaugurating and laying foundations for a series of public infrastructure projects.
Continuing this momentum, the Chief Minister on Tuesday inaugurated an AstroTurf Synthetic Football Ground at Atharobhola in Gomati District. In the same programme, he also virtually launched two 50-seated ST Girls Hostels attached to Dasarath Deb Memorial English Medium School and Devtamura High School. Additionally, Dr. Saha inaugurated a newly constructed 10-bed Primary Health Centre along with staff quarters at Nitya Bazar in Killa.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized the state government’s commitment to building a “Viksit Tripura.” He stated that special priority has been given to strengthening infrastructure in key sectors such as education, healthcare, tribal welfare, and sports. According to him, these initiatives reflect the government’s consistent efforts to ensure balanced and inclusive development across all regions of Tripura.
Describing the day as a significant milestone for Killa and Gomati district, Dr. Saha said that the new facilities would directly benefit students, sportspersons, and local residents. The AstroTurf ground is expected to boost sports activities and nurture local talent, while the new hostels will provide better accommodation facilities for tribal girl students pursuing education. The Primary Health Centre at Nitya Bazar is aimed at improving healthcare access for people in and around the area.
Over the past few weeks, the Chief Minister has been touring various parts of Tripura, especially ADC-dominated regions, to inaugurate development projects and interact with local communities. These initiatives are being seen as part of the government’s focused strategy to strengthen grassroots infrastructure and public service delivery ahead of the ADC elections.
Local residents and community leaders have welcomed the projects, expressing hope that such developments will contribute to the overall socio-economic progress of the region.
The programme was attended by senior officials, local representatives, and members of the public, marking another step forward in Tripura’s ongoing development journey.
