Tripura Gramin Bank Concludes Statewide Mega Credit Outreach, Disburses Rs.63.67 Crore to MSME, Agriculture and Agri-Allied Sectors

Tripura Gramin Bank has successfully concluded a month-long statewide Mega Credit Outreach Programme covering the Agriculture, Agri-Allied and MSME sectors across all eight districts of Tripura, marking a significant step towards strengthening financial inclusion and promoting sustainable economic growth in the state.

The comprehensive outreach initiative was designed to extend timely, need-based institutional credit to eligible borrowers, particularly farmers, entrepreneurs, artisans and small business owners. Through focused engagement at the grassroots level, the Bank ensured that credit reached priority sectors vital to Tripura’s rural and semi-urban economy.

The programme witnessed active involvement of Regional Managers and their respective field teams, along with General Manager, Chief Managers and other senior officials from the Head Office, under the guidance and leadership of the Chairman of the Bank. The initiative also received strong institutional support from the State Administration, with District Magistrates, Superintendents of Police, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Block Development Officers and other key stakeholders participating in various district-level programmes.

As a tangible outcome of the outreach drive, Tripura Gramin Bank successfully disbursed total credit amounting to Rs. 63.67 crore across the Agriculture, Agri-Allied and MSME segments throughout the state. This substantial credit flow has provided a major boost to livelihood generation, entrepreneurship and self-employment, particularly in rural and semi-rural areas.

The programme earned wide appreciation from stakeholders for its effective planning, smooth execution and visible grassroots impact. Officials noted that the initiative not only improved access to formal credit but also reinforced trust between the banking system and local communities.

With the successful completion of the Mega Credit Outreach Programme, Tripura Gramin Bank has once again reaffirmed its commitment to priority sector lending and its proactive role in supporting inclusive and people-centric development in Tripura.
