Cultural Performances by Krishnakali Saha, Sahaj Ma and Utpal Fakir Band at 36th Tripura Industries and Commerce Fair Ground on January 31 & February 1

Agartala witnessed a vibrant and forward-looking beginning of one of the state’s most significant economic and commercial events with the formal inauguration of the 36th Tripura Industries and Commerce Fair 2026 at the International Fair Ground, Hapania. The prestigious fair was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, reaffirming the state government’s strong commitment towards industrial growth, entrepreneurship, and inclusive development in Tripura.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Deputy Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Ram Prasad Paul, and Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma. Their presence reflected a unified governmental approach towards strengthening Tripura’s industrial and commercial ecosystem.

Chairman of the Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Nabadal Banik, Mayor of Agartala Dipak Majumder, State Industries Secretary Kiran Gitte, IAS, Director of the Industries Department Dr. Deepak Kumer, IAS and legislators including local MLA Meena Rani Sarkar, senior administrative officials, and other eminent guests were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized that the Industries and Commerce Fair is not merely a trade exhibition, but a dynamic platform showcasing Tripura’s economic potential, innovation capacity, and entrepreneurial spirit. He highlighted that the fair would play a crucial role in promoting local entrepreneurs, strengthening MSMEs, empowering self-help groups, and encouraging sustainable, innovation-driven growth across sectors.

The 36th Tripura Industries and Commerce Fair 2026, scheduled from 29 January to 12 February 2026, brings together local entrepreneurs, MSMEs, startups, self-help groups, artisans, handicraft producers, and established industrial units under one roof. The fair aims to boost local production, enhance market access, attract investment, and project Tripura’s industrial and commercial strengths at both national and international levels. It is also expected to significantly promote tourism by offering visitors a comprehensive experience of Tripura’s culture, craftsmanship, and business potential.

Adding to the fair’s festive and cultural appeal, a series of evening cultural programmes have been lined up to entertain visitors. As part of this initiative, renowned versatile singer Krishnakali Saha will perform live on 31 January 2026 at 7:30 PM, while the celebrated folk ensemble Sahaj Ma Utpal Fakir Band will enthral the audience with a folk music performance on 1 February 2026 at 7:30 PM. Both performances will be held at the International Fair Ground, Hapania, Agartala, adding cultural richness and wide public appeal to the commercial event.

The 36th Tripura Industries and Commerce Fair 2026, currently underway at the International Fair Ground, Hapania, Agartala, will continue till 12 February 2026.
