In a remarkable feat, Tripura's literature has earned yet another prestigious international recognition. On December 11, 2024, along with other eminent poets and novelists of various countries, Sankha Subhra Devbarman was honored at a function organized by BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) Writers Association and ISISAR viz International Society for Intercultural Studies of India and Asia, International Foundation for Culture, Literature and Arts in Kolkata, showcasing his outstanding contribution to literature. This achievement is a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity, and it paves the way for a brighter future for regional literature. As Sankha Subhra Devbarman received the BRICS memento and certificate from Sudipta Chattopadhyay, he emphasized the importance of hosting the International Literary Conference in Northeast India, including Tripura, to foster a positive impact on regional literature. The officials welcomed his suggestion, opening up new possibilities for literary growth and exchange.
