Tripura's 8 Police Personnel's Honoured with President’s and Meritorious Service Medals on Republic Day 2026

In recognition of exemplary dedication, integrity and outstanding service to the state, all total 8 Personnel's of Tripura Police have been honoured with prestigious police medals on the occasion of Republic Day 2026. The awards highlight the commitment and professionalism demonstrated by officers and personnel across different units and districts of Tripura Police.

Under the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM), Shri Shib Charan Debbarma, Havildar (GD) of 7th Battalion TSR, has been conferred the honour for his long and distinguished service marked by devotion to duty and high standards of professionalism.

The Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) has been awarded to six police personnel for their commendable contributions in their respective fields. Shri Deba Prasad Roy, Deputy Superintendent of Police from West District, has been recognised for his meritorious leadership and effective policing. Shri Pradip Chandra Das, Subedar (GD) of 5th Battalion TSR, has received the medal for his disciplined service and operational efficiency. Shri Bipul Deb, Havildar (GD) of 7th Battalion TSR, has also been honoured for his consistent dedication and performance.

Among district-level and specialised units, Shri Jiban Debnath, Constable from South District, has been awarded for his sincerity and commitment at the grassroots level. Shri Amal Datta, In-Charge Assistant Sub-Inspector (UB) of the Traffic Unit, has been recognised for his role in traffic management and public safety. Shri Dhrubajyoti Halder, In-Charge Assistant Sub-Inspector (UB) of the SB Organization, has been honoured for his valuable service in the intelligence wing.

The Tripura Police leadership has extended heartfelt congratulations to all awardees, stating that these honours not only acknowledge individual excellence but also inspire the entire force to uphold the highest ideals of service, discipline and dedication.
