Tripura Takes Major Digital Leap as Chief Minister to Lay Foundation Stone of Airtel Data Centre and NE Corporate office in Agartala on January 29

Tripura is set to mark a significant milestone in its digital infrastructure journey on January 29 with the Bhumi Pujan and foundation stone laying ceremony of the Airtel North Eastern Corporate office and a Data Centre at Chanmari, Agartala in presence of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha. The event highlights the state government’s commitment to strengthening information technology infrastructure and positioning Tripura as an emerging digital hub in the Northeast.

The programme will begin at 11 am with the arrival and reception of dignitaries, followed by a review of the proposed site plan and felicitation of guests. Senior officials of the state government and representatives of Airtel are expected to be present at the ceremony.

Among others, Shri Pranajit Singha Roy, Minister for Information Technology, Finance, Planning and Coordination, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Secretary IT and Industries Kiran Gitte may also present during the event. According to sources, the Airtel Data Centre and their Northeastern Corporate office is expected to play a crucial role in attracting further investments in IT and allied sectors, while also creating employment opportunities for local youths.
