DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to visit Tripura for three days

Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jyotiraditya Scindia will arrive in Tripura on a three-day visit beginning January 23 to review and inaugurate projects funded by the DoNER Ministry, State Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said on Thursday.
Briefing the media, Chowdhury said the Union minister will lay foundation stones for several infrastructure and tourism-related projects supported by the DoNER Ministry. During his visit, Scindia will also call on Chief Minister Manik Saha and jointly inspect a number of ongoing and proposed project sites across the State.
According to the official itinerary, the Union minister will attend a programme at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala. He is also scheduled to visit the Tripura Sundari temple at Udaipur in Gomati district to offer prayers. Chowdhury said the DoNER Ministry has sanctioned a multi-storied car parking facility at the temple, and Scindia will inspect the proposed site for the project.
On January 24, the Union minister will travel to Kadamtala in North Tripura district to lay the foundation stone for a cluster management project. He will later visit the ancient Unakoti rock carvings, a prominent heritage destination in Unakoti district, before proceeding to Narikelkunja for an overnight stay. Chowdhury said he will receive and accompany the Union minister during this leg of the visit.
On January 25, Scindia will lay foundation stones for projects under the Matabari tourism circuit development plan at Narikelkunja, with the Chief Minister joining the programme virtually from Agartala. Following the engagements, the Union minister will depart for Guwahati from Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport.
