‘Gunvatta Yatra’: ILS Hospital Leads NABH Accreditation Awareness in Tripura

Reinforcing its commitment to quality healthcare and patient safety, ILS Hospital, Agartala on Monday organised an NABH Entry-Level Certification and Accreditation Awareness Programme titled ‘Gunvatta Yatra’. The initiative is being viewed as a significant step towards strengthening quality standards across Tripura’s healthcare ecosystem.

Representatives from nearly 30 healthcare institutions across the state participated in the programme, which focused on promoting patient safety, standardised clinical practices and continuous quality improvement.

Senior officials from ILS Hospital present at the event included Dr Gautam Hazarika, Chief Operating Officer; Dr Archana Jain Dutt, Deputy General Manager; Tanuj Saha, Head–Operations; Ashwini Srivastava, Head–Quality; and Manoj Kumar Debnath, Head–Business Development.

The session featured Dr Sunil Kumar Sharma, representative of the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), as the keynote speaker. He highlighted the significance of NABH standards, the critical role of patient safety, and the need for sustained quality improvement in healthcare delivery. Ms Anusha Gayen, NABH Coordinator, served as the programme coordinator.

Through Gunvatta Yatra, ILS Hospital has encouraged healthcare institutions across Tripura to adopt NABH standards, positioning itself as a catalyst for quality-driven and patient-centric healthcare in the state.

ILS Hospital currently remains the only NABH-accredited hospital in Tripura, underlining its leadership in setting benchmarks for quality and patient safety in the region.
