The slaughter of unbeliever Hindus with impunity across the Bangladeshi hellscape is turning out to be a normal routine affair . In spite of being the most peace-loving and law-abiding citizens in the land their origin, the Hindu minorities who constitute barely 7.95% of the population in Bangladesh continues to be targeted for killing , dispossession and worse resembling the storm of pre-partition and post-partition days ever since the illegitimate and unconstitutional Yunus regime took over power on the back of a countrywide mob uprising in July-August 2024 . Many have fallen victim of the vengeance of the ‘Momins’ for grabbing their properties, women and all other possessions. In the past month alone twelve innocent Hindus have been murdered in a gruesome manner.

In the latest incident in the Gazipur area near Dhaka , a sweet shop owner Liton Chandra Ghosh (55) was silmply clubbed to death yesterday in the morning by three ‘Momins’ while trying to save his worker who had been dragged out of shop and attacked with murderous intention. He died on the spot and was declared so in the hospital.

Sources from Bangladesh said that slain Liton Chandra Ghosh ran a sweet shop under the banner of ‘Vaisakhi sweet-meat’ shop and hotel. Around 12-30 PM yesterday a local ‘Momin’ Masum had entered the shop and raised objection to the existence of pictures of Hindu deities fitted in the shop and started abusing the shop-owner Liton Ghosh and his worker Ananta Das (17). In a fit of rage Masum dragged Ananta out of shop and prepared to kill him as he had objected to the abuses heaped on his owner. In order to save the worker Liton Ghosh rushed out but then Masum, already reinforced by his parents, Md Swapan Mia and mother Majeda Khatun, turned on Liton and clubbed him to death . Having witnessed the grisly murder other shop-keepers rushed to t eh spot and arranged to send Liton to Gazipur hospital where he was declared ‘brought dead’. The shocking day light murder has sent shivers of fear and panic among Hindus across Bangladesh even though a team of Gazipur police station rushed to the spot and arrested Masum, his father Swapan Mia and mother Majeda Khatun on charge of murder. There is however little chance of the killers being punished n court.
