CBSE director on visit to the state holds a series of meetings with education department officials and heads of institutions

The director of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Professor Biswajit Saha arrived at Agartala yesterday to take stock of the state of school education in Tripura. He initially met the president of Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) Dhananjay Ganchowdhury as a matter of courtesy and then attended a protracted meeting throughout the day with the headmasters and headmistresses of ‘Vidyajyoti’ schools in the office of the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in Kumari tilla area. He is stated to have issued necessary instructions to the heads of institutions and directed them to complete the project-based education as well as training of teachers on priority basis.
Professor Biswajit Saha also met the heads of institutions of all private and government aided school and directed them to properly impart lessons on the model devised and introduced by the CBSE as per the provisions made in the New Education Policy (NEP)-2020. He will complete his programme today and return to Delhi after overnight stay at Agartala, having already held a slew of meetings with officials of the education department as well as academicians.
