Teenager dies in railway accident in Durgarai para area under Birchandra Manu in Belonia subdivision

In a tragic mishap a tribal teenager identified as Deep Kumar Reang (16) died in a railway accident in Durgarai para area under Birchandra Manu police station in Santir Bazar subdivision this morning. Police sources said that Deep Kumar Reang had gone out for morning walk early in the morning today as per his daily habit. He had crossed the rubber garden beside his house an started walking along the railway track. At that time a train to Sabroom was moving towards Sabroom but it hit Deepak Kumar Reang very hard throwing him down beside the track.

He lay bleeding there and local people who had seen the accident came rushing and shifted him to Santir Bazar hospital . But, having examined him the doctor on emergency duty declared Deepak Kumar ‘brought dead’ from serious head injury and over-bleeding. Deepak Kumar Reang’s tragic death has cast a shadow of grief and mourning in the entire Bir Chandra Manu area. Sources said that the police have registered a case of unnatural death and started investigation.
