MMD College, Sabroom holds month long Training Program

Today, at Sabroom Michael Madhusudan Dutta (MMD) College, a month-long light vehicle driving training program was inaugurated under the initiative of the South Tripura District Administration and with the support of Oil India Limited. The program will run until the first week of February. The aim is to enhance the skills of local youth and create employment opportunities. Such training will not only make young people self-reliant but also strengthen the rural economy. The event was chaired by the college principal, Dr. Anupam Guha.
The program was attended by Ratnadeep Das, Deputy Chief Engineer, Oil India Limited, Sankar Bhattacharjee, Nodal Officer, Skills Development, South Tripura Dist., Tanmoy Majumder, Dist. Coordinator, Skills Development along with college professors, students, and trainees. The guests expressed that providing training in light vehicle driving would create employment opportunities and contribute to the goals of skill development and self-reliance set by the government. This month-long training program will offer practical, hands-on experience to the trainees. The guests emphasized that imparting practical skills would pave the way for their successful careers. Dr. Anupam Guha stated that initiatives by organizations like Oil India Limited play a vital role in the progress of rural and agricultural sectors of the country. Such training programs are instrumental in increasing youth skills and employment, representing a positive step forward for states like Tripura. He also extended thanks to the officials of Mandira Event & Services and wished for the successful completion of the month-long program.
