TBSE golden jubilee function tomorrow in Nazrul Kala Kshetra auditorium

The golden jubilee function of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) will come off tomorrow in the government run Nazrul Kala Kshetra auditorium. It was on January 1 1975 that the TBSE as a separate Board of school education had been launched by then ruling Congress government headed by late chief minister Sukhamay Sengupta and since then the Board has come a long way in taking Madhyamik and HS (+2) exams of school students from across Tripura. Before the launching of TBSE the schools of Tripura had been affiliated with the Calcutta Board of School Education.
The incumbent TBSE president Dr Dhananjay Gan Chowdury addressed press conference on the occasion in his office and said that a voluntary blood donation camp was organised yesterday in the office premises of the Board to commemorate the occasion. In tomorrow’s programme the chief minister Dr Manik Saha will be the chief guest while the function will also be attended by the principal of the Ram Krishna Muth and Mission, Swamy Bhakti Shuddhananda Maharaj, special secretary (education) Raval Hemendra Kumarand director of school education N.C.Sharma. He said that the blood donation camp yesterday had been inaugurated by the BJP chief whip in the state assembly and advocate Kalyani Roy.
Addressing the interactive session with the media the secretary, TBSE Jaydip Bhattacharjee said that in tomorroiw’s programme altogether 23 students who had stood 1st, and 2nd in the higher secondary exams of 2022,2023,2024 and 2025 will be given away cash award in the name of late headmistress Indira Bhattacharjee who had passed away in the year 1986. Jaydip said that after the death of Indira Bhattacharjee her parents had donated Rs 20 lakhs to the TBSE fund for the purpose of awarding meritorious students who would secure 1st and 2nd positions in the HS (+2) exams. He added that commemorative magazine on the occasion of golden jubilee of the TBSE will also be unveiled tomorrow on the dais of the Nazrul Kala Kshetra.
